Off To The River?
I spent last night tying up some parachute Adams flies in size 14, 16 and 18. I’ve got a list of patterns I’ll be needing for New Zealand and seeing as I will be leaving in 3 weeks, I have some serious tying to do! Here’s a wee preview of the parachute adams:

Since I have copious amounts of fly tying materials, around 700-800 hooks and a planned year long trip to new zealand starting in a couple months I thought I better get tying, even if it does take a fait bit of time with these pesky things! Thought I’d make my first post on fly tying, so far my fly tying endeavours have been on big, deer hair or foam patterns, mainly because those materials I have absolute masses of! Turk’s Tarantula, Madam X, Hedgehogs and Deer Hair Sedges to name a few. Thing is, I now need to be tying up more imitative patterns for the rivers and for my forthcoming trip to New Zealand – will be heading there for a year starting in June!
