Strange day yesterday – I managed none of the writing I said I would do! After packing up at work I decided to go and try and see the Olympic Flame as the Torch made its way through Glasgow on part of its tour of the UK before the London 2012 Olympics this summer. As expected it wasn’t a huge spectacle as it was over so quickly but it was great to see so many people turn out for it and I’m glad I got to see it. It’s now something I can tick off the list!
Before the torch arrived I spent some time inside Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum as it’s somewhere I never get bored of. I’m always amazed by what’s in there, whether it’s the various rocks they have, the fish they have or perhaps it’s the Spitfire hanging from the ceiling.
A few of us are away saltwater fly fishing tomorrow so hopefully I’ll have some other fish species to add to the plethora of trout based reports I have ready to write up!
