Currently there is planning underway in New Zealand to construct a tunnel from Queenstown to Milford Sound to allow faster travel for tourists. Not only is this going to be going straight through some of the finest pristine wilderness in the country, you won’t even get to use it unless you are booked on a coach with one of the operators!
Having fished in this area quite extensively during my time in NZ, something really should be done to stop this.
